  5. I'm done WOOHOO. about 4:35. Not a P.R. but every finish is a victory! Jeans signed off!
  6. mile 25. It is a straight shot passed OCC to the fairgrounds. I'm so ready for this to be done. See you at the finish!
  7. mile 24. Heading into mesa verde suns out light breeze i cant see the end but i know its close.
  8. Mile 23. Heading into the Talbert Marsh named after long time supervisor Tom Talbert. This is hidden Costa Mesa and it's lovely.
  9. Mile 22. Running behind the golf course. It's cool and there's a breeze. There are far more runners than golfers. Headed to the finish!
  10. Just passed mile 21. Still on the bike trail. The flowers are in bloom, it's gorgeous. looking forward to a beer at the finish.
  11. Mile 20 and it's straight and flat along the Santa Ana River Trail. The sun is breaking through and the air smells like sage.
  12. Mile 19. I'm getting tired. I'm taking advantage of walking during my tweets. 7 to go!
  13. Mile 18. Running through Costa Mesa neighborhood heading towards Santa Ana River Trail. Thanks to all the neighbors for their support.
  14. Mile 17. I just ran through South Coast Plaza and didn't spend a dime. That's a first! Single digits from here on out!
  15. Mile 16. I'm running through the plaza of the OC performing arts center. I feel like I'm at a movie premier. Next stop South Coast Plaza.
  16. Mile 15. Just ran past the last strawberry field in OC. By now the elites have finished. Way to go Andrew of SD!
  17. Passed mile 14 and heading up what I call "Gary's hill". It's the bridge over the freeway and the highest elevation ride on the course.
  18. Mile13. Woohoo! Halfway there. Best t-shirts so far; "I thought you said 2.62"
  19. Mile 12. Marathoners have split from the half. Running by my childhood neighborhood Santa Ana Heights. Still feeling o.k. 14 miles ahead.
  20. mile 11. Weather's still perect. About to leave Upper Newport Bay. Runners are still going strong. We're all feeling good.
