  1. Probably just jinxed it, though...
  2. Hmmm... Just applied for a rather interesting-sounding job. Could be ideal, in fact. *crosses fingers*
  3. Hmmm... Entirely forgot about @johnb78's housewarming so thought I had no invites and played GTA IV until 1am instead. ENVY MY LIFE.
  4. @spiller2 Psst... http://bit.ly/14jMmC - already there, just on a different tab
  5. Have just updated my EU Netvibes Universe: http://bit.ly/jHCPI - am I missing any EU blogs? Must be...
  6. @Twiverpool Ta - much appreciated! Bit of a bugger - but it was a dead-ender anyway, so onwards and upwards.
  7. @MacarenaRG London, sadly. If I were Brussels-based it'd probably be somewhat easier... Could always commute if the money were right...
  8. So then, anybody need a decent writer/editor/sub? It would appear that I need a new job - sharpish...
  9. RT @EUlondonrep Melton Mowbray Pork Pies get regional protection from the European Commission [and they say the EU never does any good!]
  10. @Twiverpool Well, sort of. But I did spend 12 hours drinking lager (and later Guinness) and smoking on Monday... I don't do things by halves
  11. I am a sweaty, sweaty man. Decent hour and a half of running around the Heath. Now considering cycling back and going for a swim up there...
  12. Jogged up to Kenwood via Primrose Hill and Highgate. Not a drinking fountain in sight - gah! Nice smell of bracken in the woods though.
  13. @TobyinHelsinki Major thing: Sounds like a No.10 cop-out. Why not petition the EU for additional opt-outs? Buck-passing, I'd say. Usually is
  14. @TobyinHelsinki Hmmm... Dunno. I suspect there's a get-out, though. The call to exempt them from *all* spending is a bit much, though...
  15. @TobyinHelsinki Not an expert, but there are countless options for opt-outs. Plus the 5% reduced rate. They could do it if they wanted.
  16. @dnotice Individual eurosceptic arguments are, mostly, entirely logical. It's just the ultimate conclusions that are wrong.
  17. Is it something to do with the weather that's making some of my eurosceptic commenting types so much less logical and consistent than usual?
  18. Beer garden? Check. Cold, nice lager? Check. WIN.
  19. I'm not much of a Moody Blues fan, but what this tuneless kids' band next door is doing to Nights in White Satin is pretty much sacrilege
  20. New post - the odd choice of partners in UKIP's new EP group: http://www.jcm.org.uk/blog/...
