  1. My review of Criterion's "golden age of TV" DVD set has become a quagmire. No end in sight.
  2. @YourOrYoure Not wrong.
  3. @samuelburnett I only wrote about albums I voted for. Love THE '59 SOUND, but it didn't make my ballot.
  4. I'm not wild about SNL constantly recycling sketches, but "What Up With That?" still makes me laugh. Randomness + framing = comedy.
  5. In the interest of due diligence, tonight I paid good money to buy three of the worst movies of the '00s on DVD. (No, I won't tell.)
  6. @kphipps3000 Try this: http://tinyurl.com/5t2scs (Though when this happened to me, I ended up getting a replacement device.)
  7. Considering making a year-end best-of comp for the first time since '06, and sending it to friends digitally. But which sharing site to use?
  8. @kphipps3000 OPPOSITE SEX, huh? Good record. I remember scoring that on import back in the days of CDNow.
  9. @WWOFTBBNR It was a latecomer. Hadn't listened to it in a while, then I was putting an Oberst iTunes playlist together and rediscovered it.
  10. @nictate I don't mind it. It bothered me more in Season One, the forced irony of it.
  11. @gemko The "Hey look! The '60s!" element of MAD MEN never entirely goes away, but it does fade into the background.
  12. @msicism @gemko Apparently yesterday's UPS shipment was (500) Days Of Summer, which I got this morning. (Missed the WB pkg. Lousy errands.)
  13. @TylerCWeaver Don't blame me; I voted for ICKY THUMP.
  14. @barefootjim Agreed. Film Crew used to be. And several MST3K titles are. But I'd love to watch Rifftrax via Netflix WI.
  15. @bashfulmw Given that my local station dropped LOST for SEC basketball half the time, it's great news for me.
  16. Reportedly LOST S6 premieres 2/2 (which means Sundance won't interfere) and airs Tuesdays (which means SEC basketball won't interfere). Yay!
  17. Why do some sites have "remember me" check-boxes on their password pages when they're not actually designed to remember you?
  18. Containing multitudes: Hopped in my car, cranked up Public Enemy's "Timebomb," drove over to CG's kindergarten to have lunch with her class.
  19. I gauge the progress of the week by the number of bananas remaining in the kitchen after breakfast. One banana left. Must be Thursday.
  20. @gemko @bentclouds YMMV, but no matter how many times I've listened to MPP, it just hasn't won me. Tuneful? Maybe. But structureless.
