  1. Help The Newman Holiday Trust raise money by using #easyfundraising every time you shop online. @easyuk easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/newmant…
  2. Thanks to @drakeygirl @pencilsqueezer @biscuitbiscuit @GauntletGirl @welshbenny and Doods for your support. The Word is love. Peace, y'all!
  3. My Coast to Coast to Coast Walk has raised £3,767.68 for @CR_UK . THANK YOU for your support! In honour of Shona & Fiona. http://3.ly/3eBn
  4. My fundraising page is still open for donations to @CR_UK! I've added photos of my lonesome COAST TO COAST TO COAST WALK: http://3.ly/3eBn
  5. DAY 12: THE FINAL PUSH. Marched into Newcastle, then Segedunum (end of Hadrian's Wall), then Tynemouth for ceremonial toe-dipping. JOB DONE!
  6. DAY 11: Relentless rain, no campsite - grim. Found a bug in my sleeping bag nonchalantly making incisions into my legs. The rotter.
  7. DAY 10: Where I once plodded, now I stride- sometimes I almost break out into a yomp. V wet. My stove won't light, so it's raisins for tea.
  8. DAY 9: Ouch again. Luckily, pain seems to be working in shifts; eg a big toe will suddenly shout "ARGH!!" before quietly returning to work.
  9. DAY 8: I've picked up speed, & I'm chirpier too- a bit more "hello trees, hello sky". But tomorrow it's the return of the hilly bits.
  10. DAY 7: Confusing to be heading eastwards- my internal map keeps flipping over. Quick yomp to camp; time for a nap & a big pub meal.
  11. DAY 6: Made it to the west coast! Bowness on Solway. But I prefer the east coast so I'm going to walk back. Aboouuuut turn!
  12. DAY 5: Quite tedious- rain, cows, dung, Carlisle. But never mind- tomorrow I'm going to the seaside!
  13. DAY 4: V long, incl wrong turn when I had to tackle dense forest/muddy slopes/raging river, a la Bear Grylls (ie a bit overexcitedly).
  14. DAY 3: Chollerford to Steel Rigg. V hilly. I've become a plodding machine. Av speed: 2mph. Fuel: Fruit pastilles.
  15. DAY 2: Vast improvement on day 1. Got to campsite by 5pm, so time for showering, clothes washing, and looking at my feet saying "Eeeww".
  16. Day 1: OUCH! 12hrs walking from Tynemouth thru Newcastle & into hills. May change some dates/campsites but challenge is still ON!!!!!!!
  17. To base camp tomorrow (Whitley Bay), then I start walking on Tuesday - ACROSS ENGLAND AND BACK for @CR_UK Please donate! http://3.ly/RMSQ
