  1. Safe and sound in Detroit, despite having to sit in the back of the plane. Tomorrow: seeing friends and making soup for the big meal.
  2. I donated to Mai Li Pittard's "Xmas Time for Jews" production budget. You should, too! Go to http://bit.ly/626nct and give what you can.
  3. Flying home to Detroit tomorrow at 12:45 p.m. Finally, a flight that isn't a red-eye! It'll be nice to arrive at 8 p.m., not 5 a.m.
  4. It's been an exhausting week and a half. Glad to be flying home to Detroit for Thanksgiving on Wednesday.
  5. Suffering from pre-holiday not-wanting-to-do-my-homework-or-look-for-jobs. Can at least do the former on the plane on Wednesday...
  6. Enjoying the Erev Ravs and Eprhyme at the Ravenna Kibbutz.
  7. Everyone should make Ina Garten's cheddar corn chowder sometime this winter. It's amazing, even sans bacon: http://bit.ly/bAl7F.
  8. Worked all day, went to nutrition class, took a chem quiz, made pesto, watched movie trailers, blogged. Now it's time for bed.
  9. Enjoyed the most recent episode of "Srugim." Now it's bedtime. Tomorrow: full day of work, nutrition test, and bonfire. Yay!
  10. enjoyed the play about the P-I and was amazed at how much swearing was in it. Don't remember swearing that much as a newspaperman.
  11. Studying and applying for jobs today. And trying to get into that sure-to-be-sold-out play about the P-I tonight. Hope I make it in.
  12. Watching old friends get married, wondering as always when it'll be my turn. I'm hoping by 2015.
  13. Forgot what a beautiful song this is until KEXP played it today: http://bit.ly/3HXwzM
  14. Enjoyed the Israeli soap opera in which all the pretty people made stupid relationship decisions. Schadenfreude, you're a good friend.
  15. Today: study nutrition, do chem homework, apply for jobs, see an old college friend, and watch an Israeli TV show. That's about it.
  16. @evilbeet I just discovered Couch to 5K, which my friend @epunch suggested. It's a gradual program to get you running. I hope to try it.
  17. My friends are frickin' awesome: http://bit.ly/2dv5N7
  18. How do you start jogging when you're 30, overweight, and sedentary? Maybe I should go directly to half-marathon training...
  19. The Ravenna Kibbutz is looking for 3-4 new resident-organizers for Jan. 1! Info and online application at http://tinyurl.com/y8zqdpp.
  20. Gotta love the thunder and lightning followed by hail.
