  10. First light frost a week ago. Pulled marigold, inpatiens, bean, pepper, & tomato plants. Landscape of veg garden completely transformed!
  11. Temps getting close to freezing at 34˚F. Will have to start digging and bring plants in.
  12. @SolakNC 'clips' re: grafting tomato plants. Someone wanted to use bandaids to secure but they'd slide. Better to use special clips.
  13. Use the clips, bandaids would slide down in the humidity. Believe me, they work. They're tiny clips with a tube shape. Perfect for stems.
  14. @VodkaOne If I recall correctly we used the tomato rootstock Maxifort from Europe. Tomato grafting workshop slides http://bit.ly/tomatograft
  15. @Vegetablecorner Roasted garlic=less bad breath. Chewing parsley (deodorizing effects of chlorophyll) dipped in vinegar combats bad breath.
  16. Cut up some of the sugarcane growing in the garden for people to try. Got sweeter within the last few weeks.
