  2. Key and Chain Bridges are both fully open to all traffic at this time.
  3. The Judiciary Square Metrorail station on the Red Line is now closed for the rest of the evening. Please use Gallery Place or Union Station.
  4. Obamas exit limo and walk for 5 minutes along parade route on Penn. Avenue, much to the delight of fans in stands.
  5. The Federal Triangle Metrorail station (Orange and Blue Lines) has reopened as of 3:45 pm.
  6. Temporary closures of northbound lane of I-395 and eastbound lane of I-66 because of pedestrian traffic on 14th and Roosevelt bridges in VA.
  7. President Obama is back in his limo, signaling the start of the Inaugural Parade.
  8. Police are holding crowds at street level at several downtown Metro stations to help "meter" the crowds as they return to enter stations.
  9. Smithsonian, Archives, Mt. Vernon Sq, Federal Triangle Metro stations closed. All others are open. Long lines to enter, but they're open.
  10. Sen. Ted Kennedy collapses during Obama luncheon, taken to hospital. No word on condition.
  11. Chief Justice Roberts, using no notes, flubbed his lines. Obama knew it. He jumped in before "do solemnly swear," which threw Roberts off.
  12. Barack Obama has been sworn in as the 44th President of the United States.
  13. Federal Triangle station is closed due to crowding at street level. It will reopen after the Inaugural parade.
  14. Ex-presidents Carter, Bush Sr. and Clinton enter grandstand, as well as Obama daughters.

  17. Due to overcrowding, pedestrian can't access Mall from 14th St. Bridge. Use Memorial (whole bridge), and Key (sidewalks, paths).
  18. Metro: person was struck by a train at Gallery Place Metro station. Person is alive and trapped. Gallery Place Red Line traffic is stopped.
  19. Park Service: Natl Mall E of 12th St. is closed. Everything E of 14th St. is near capacity. From Wash. Mon. to Capitol: near full capacity.
  20. Metro says the Shady Grove, Glenmont and Huntington parking garages are full.
