  12. We need more than a typical "Playing Test" for students.
  13. Achievement measures in NY: Playing tests, Composition, Score analysis, Error detection, Concert evals, Personal reflection.

  15. Possible issues: aligning common implementation, managing post-assessment, scheduling, student absence, keeping students first.
  16. Common music assessments: Sightsinging, score reading, basic musicianship, composition units
  17. @barfieldmusic @walkinlooove We must give them an alternative, or they are forced to rely on ELA and Math scores.
  18. Why? Because.. Lack of common assessments, lack of inter-judge reliability, lack of dept oversight, lack of effective data.
  19. Some districts are using ELA and Math state test scores IN PLACE of music assessment data for music teachers.
  20. Need to establish inter-judge reliability for cross-scoring.
