  3. Following a productive trip to Asia, back in HNL and back at it. Took in The Great American Circus @ Blaisdell-a circus w/ a "green" purpose
  4. wishing those who serve and have served in our military services a very Happy Veterans' Day...Mahalo for your service. It is appreciated.
  5. Also,in observance of Veterans' Day,paid my respects @ the Manila American Cemetery & Memorial-15,000 plus buried here...much like Punchbowl
  6. then appeared on Wowowee, the noon-time variety show w/ host Willie Revillame. Gave him an Aloha Shirt! Broadcast on The Filipino Channel.
  7. had a great business seminar w/ Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii in Cebu, PI today, stengthening our Sister City Relationship.

  10. Our delegation is being very well received-became an Adopted Son of Ilocos Norte, and honorary citizen of San Nicholas-very honored-Salamat!
  11. had a hectic day yesterday in Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur, meeting w/ govt and business leaders.
  12. delivered relief supplies today in Metro Manila to victims of recent typhoons & flooding here. Lending a supportive helping hand w/ aloha
  13. Now, I'm off to Manila for an important trade mission w/ Filipino Chamber of Commerce and to deliver relief supplies to typhoon victims.
  14. Kudos to all the folks from Honolulu who traveled here to keep Sister City relationship strong...fun farewell banquet. Sang w/Mayor Akiba!
  15. awesome finale to Honolulu Day festivities here in Hiroshima, reminded me of Honolulu City Lights...the whole town is lit up!
  16. concluded very well received economic seminar w/ Hiroshima Chamber of Commerce & Industry-150-plus business leaders discussing opportunities
  17. humbled today to have been named Hirsohima City Special Honorary Citizen @ annual Honolulu Day Celebration here in Japan
  18. encouraged bond rating agencies reaffirmed Honolulu's high "AA" rating...stable financial outlook for the City despite nat'l economic slump
  19. congrats to UH Rainbow Wahine Basketball Coach Dana Takahara-Dias on her first victory, a 73-70 exhibition win over HPU. Team played w/heart
  20. Also took in the Tower of A Thousand Cranes-Paper Cranes for Peace by the thousands, from all over the world. Even saw one from Maryknoll HS
