  1. What do you make of this take on media literacy? http://autodizactic.com/blo...
  2. @Matthewianferry 'Cause that would be ironic.
  3. @Matthewianferry A diary truck?
  4. @Matthewianferry I'm not sure I believe you.
  5. @ChristianLong Seriously, though, that's exactly why we need to be teaching this stuff.
  6. @ChristianLong Because you're a creative and insightful guy?
  7. This makes all my points: http://current.com/items/91...
  8. @msstewart I was there. They even let me speak in front of people. We'll have to meet up at EduCon.
  9. @dlaufenberg My concern isn't with the vampire aspect of the Saga, but with the protrayal of women and men within this narrative.
  10. @LDTDuffy I've read the movies, which I count as texts. So, yes, I can say I know the themes. At this point, the Saga has 6 texts.
  11. @budtheteacher @christianlong I agree with @budtheteacher. It was almost accidentally tech-rich.
  12. @viearetea The books have been written, and the plot is predictable. I was saying lines before the characters.
  13. @ChristianLong And my worry is they will love it and no one will ever ask them to think about it.
  14. @ChristianLong Girl needs to do nothing other than exist. That's all the plot asks of her. When it's believed she doesn't exist, the same.
  15. @WilesAlex Yeah, that was a tough nut to crack.
  16. @speters Her role as a powerless protagonist is ironic. She doesn't drive that story anymore than she gets to drive her own truck.
  17. @ChristianLong Hey now, she's not useless. They've gotta fight over something.
  18. @haroldson I think I rate a He-who-must-not-be-named.
  19. @ChristianLong Well, thought would be a start. Outrage would be a nice cap.
  20. @BreBonner End that last sentence with a "?".
