  1. The Oslo vision felt a lot more solid & specific at #PDC09. We saw Quadrant in a usable & productive state, & have a pretty clear roadmap.
  2. The #PDC09 was very data-centric, which is where modeling really shines: open data protocol (odata), "Dallas" data sources, PinPoint market.
  3. @david_ing Post your feedback to the Oslo team in their forums: http://bit.ly/NrmdH
  4. @sempf I completely agree. Especially with Silverlight 4.
  5. The Oslo team is currently debating whether to make the Quadrant framework public. Want to make Quadrant-like apps? Send them your feedback!
  6. @Stephanvs I'll look for this info later today.
  7. M now includes the ability to model inheritance, associations, and declarative mappings. Only in the early preview #pdc09 bits.
  8. Using the new dynamic keyword in C# is a nice way to get at captured variables from M DSLs. #pdc09
  9. I'd love to see a Silverlight version of Quadrant. #pdc09 #sqlmodeling (via @danvanderboom)
  10. There is a DynamicData provider for web apps to access Oslo models, and in the future, it'll have it's own data service provider. #pdc09
  11. @asalvo Just talked to Doug Purdy: for the CTP the entity class gen was pragmatically hard-coded, but in the future, T4 is the goal.
  12. Quadrant allows .NET plugins, and uses WPF commanding. #pdc09
  13. Follow @ModelingOslo for more news and information about Oslo, M, and Quadrant. #sqlmodeling #pdc09
  14. "Quadrant is Access for SQL Server." -Doug Purdy #pdc09 #sqlmodeling
  15. Quadrant will work with Azure Database as well as SQL Server. #pdc09
  16. Quadrant even lets you update the built-in views that come in the box. Customize anything! #pdc09
  17. #sqlmodeling Are the entity classes POCO only? Are you tied a specific data access tech?
  18. There is an Oslo tool in the CTP to create an M model from an existing database. #pdc09
  19. Quadrant also provides a nice view to resolve update conflicts. #pdc09
  20. Quadrant detects update conflicts by tracking three values: original, externally edited, and edited in Quadrant. #pdc09
