  4. Volunteers helped a family of 5 after a fire in Winter Haven this a.m. They provided temporary shelter and help with groceries & relocating.
  5. A family of 7 in Frostproof had a fire at 3-4 am. We provided shelter, food & other assistance. Neighbors gave clothes to the four kids.

  19. Early Saturday morning, one of our volunteers in Highlands County passed on in her sleep. She and her husband were great Red Cross helpers.
  20. People arrived an hour early for Saturday's Garage Sale at the Red Cross office in Sebring (Highlands Co.). Volunteers called it a success.
