  1. Inspectors are headed home to give thanks for amazing food we don’t have to write about for once. Happy eating to all on Thanksgiving!
  2. Happy Thanksgiving All! Headed upstate for a deep-fried turkey feast.
  3. No turkey, nor any type of fowl for one guest! Well, he will love the herb and fontina stuffed veal chops with a chive-lemon-caper sauce.
  4. Herb-Gruyère Biscuits from F & W Ultimate Thanksgiving Guide will make an appearance at my tgiving table; perfect and elegant.
  5. No Thanksgiving is complete with my brood without the escarole-chicken stracciatella to begin the meal.

  7. Plan on making braised celery with onions and green olives for tgiving as a side for the roast pork, a great recipe from Lidia Bastianich.
  8. Jarred chestnuts, perfect for my apple-sage, sourdough & sausage turkey stuffing and a fraction of the cost. It’s a compromise, but hey!
  9. Kept hearing about a possible pumpkin shortage on the evening news; so I just ran to the market. We WILL be having pumpkin pies this year!!
  10. Brought a friend to Momofuku Milk Bar, she loved her cereal milk soft serve. My stuffing flavored cone was…very Thanksgiving-y.
  11. saw two European ladies in furs consulting the NY MICHELIN Guide for a lunch spot before a play…they chose Barbetta
  12. Big fan of Falai- good food, sharp service, sleek look; but the raspberry soufflé with black truffle gelato left me puzzled.
  13. Now that winter is just around the corner, will we see Italian restaurants using the unique and amazing ricotta forte to dress pasta?

  18. The zucchini carbonara with smoked Virginia bacon at Brinkley’s is a fresh, interesting take on a classic.. and no carbs (well, fat, yes).
  19. black sea bass ceviche with melon, hearts of palm, cucumber, jalapeno and avocado crème at Gotham Bar & Grill last night…yum
  20. Del Posto eliminated the café menu and will only serve lunch a la carte. It will offer a $29 dollar prix fixe. Is this a good move?
