@ , the end result is that SQLPS console (and SQL Agent) is limited to V1 cmdlets. But you can extend V2 w/Sql2k8 provider.

@ , No is not strange because SQLPS.exe in PS V1 shell. The $PSSversiontable results may have a "bug" with it. :)
