  1. @orcldoug what about keywords in uppercase and variables in lower? That's my coding rule. And _ instead of camelCase.
  2. @phurley @alexgorbachev is that your pool? Respect!
  3. Dear software vendors, please do not build your application around the sudoers file, requiring lots of wild cards to work.
  4. @orcldoug but you will be there? Won't you? And if it is just for drinks and good company...
  5. @myoraclesupport may I ask for fixed-width font in HTML MOS when entering problems or updates to SRs please?
  6. @sgyurov actually-that's a VERY good idea! Haven't thought about it that way round. MIght be possible to do so even in virtual box!
  7. @pfierens I didn't have time to explore PXE booting yet. Might give that a go actually. Have OL 5.8 and 6.2 ready this way.
  8. @pfierens tried it too-using unetbuntin, but didn't work. BIOS doesn't recognize it.
  9. @yvelikanov Thanks Yury, for me it's necessity-my laptop doesn't come with an optical drive ;) Blog post in case I manage
  10. Does anyone if it's possible to install Oracle VM 3.1.1 using a USB key? I want to run it from hard disk, but prefer not to waste a CD-ROM
  11. Ugh. One of these late evening where PL/SQL won't come lightly...
  12. @MDWidlake agreed. Do you know how much time went into the RAC book ;) But at least I learned a little bit more about RAC as a side effect
  13. @MDWidlake I have done it COMPLETELY wrong-2 months slide polishing (on train), ending up having too much material :) /cc @orcldoug
  14. @martinpaulnash Nice! Keep it up, you know why!
  15. @leight0nn do you install the full set or software only?
  16. @simon_haslam abstract already submitted :)
  17. Performance testing with Virident PCIe SCM wp.me/pDczL-lq
  18. @TanelPoder of course! Tried to be too clever looking at v$sqltext and v$sqltext_with_newlines :)
  19. @fritshoogland that's what I'm doing. I'm being caught out by identifiers wrapping lines, introducing spaces which are hard to track
  20. OK, I admit defeat. Does anyone know how to extract and pretty-print a SQL statement from the database? DBMS_XPLAN fails, more than 4k text
