  5. @lemoneyes I was referring to Bush/43. Thought that's who you meant.
  6. @dle90742 The President's always in charge - no matter where he is. That's why he is never really on vacation.
  7. @lemoneyes Thanks. It's also a major schlep. No press plane and no non-stop service between DC and Honolulu.
  8. @lemoneyes Actually, the Bushes spent 7 of 8 Christmases at Camp David - to give the WH residence staff the day off.

  12. @suzzzanna Hawaii makes exceptions for guide dogs and pets from Australia, New Zealand, Guam & the British Isles. Sorry, Bo.
  13. Because Hawaii wants to keep itself rabies-free, it insists on 5-or-120-day quarantines for pets arriving in the state. Very few exceptions.
  14. No Hawaii vacation for Bo the Obama dog. He's been left home. Hawaii has strict rules about quarantining dogs & cats coming into the state.
  15. @Sharoney often it takes more than one tweet to tell the whole story.
  16. @christinakb this'll be my first christmas week in 8 years not spent in Crawford.
  17. @jeff_scvtalk Oahu.
  18. Col. Adams says no airman would be reprimanded for breaking a salute when the commander-in-chief wants to shake your hand.
  19. At the Pentagopn, USAF spokeswoman Col. Marcella Adams, says “if the president sticks his hand out – you need to shake it.”
  20. It clearly took the airman by surprise, when Obama wanted to shake hands. Usually Obama just returns salute and boards plane.
