  1. Enjoyed the CLU Labor Day breakfast, especially Don Williams speech!! Very moving and very true!
  2. Had a busy weekend. The LULAC Gran Festival was great last night!! Sonny Ozuna sang his greats. Hope you raised some $$ for our students!!
  3. 2 parades and the street fest. It was great to be back in El Paso. Fundraiser scheduled in Austin on Wednesday, gearing up for a campaign.
  4. Waiting for Senate to finish up on HB 1 and send it back to the house. Sitting here on the floor with my deskmate Diana Maldonado.
  5. Special session to start Wednesday morning. Heading back to Austin next week to battle heat and humidity.

  9. I was just added to a conference committee for HB 2139 that establishes operates and funds victim offender mediation programs.
