  1. Second act of Musica Mundana finally started!
  2. First day of class at Dramatists. Eager to meet my new students!
  3. No writing this week. Just lots of appointments and trying to clean the house. And lots and lots of phone/email conversations.
  4. Small World revisions finshed. Now onto Musica Mundana, act two, and getting ready for Here Where It's Safe auditions.
  5. Feeling burned out, but a 5pm rehearsal means I have to revise the script anyway. Right now, the muse is beating my sorry ass.
  6. I love the folks in the Trekkie Workshop. This is a wonderful way to work--I'm getting spoiled.
  7. @NoeFrancine "it's been stolen four times now." Hilarious.
  8. I've posted a new workshop blog: http://musica-mundana.blogspot.com/
  9. The best inspiration is a deadline--preferably for a different project. A very strange equation, that.
  10. First thing, tackle the screenplay: children living in the tunnels beneath Bucharest.
  11. At the most irritating stage of writing-past inital inspiration, before hitting stride, just as possibilities collapse with nothing to show.
  12. Trekkie Workshop blog: http://musica-mundana.blogspot.com/
  13. Today's research topic: the difference between Lava Monsters and Rock Creatures.
  14. Googling "Klingon mating ritual" is probably the oddest thing I've ever done in the name of research.
  15. Writing a Trekkie sex scene is even more fun than you might expect...
  16. Is it safe to go back in the Twitter again?
  17. July 4th: I'm reading about mass graves & Congolese politics. Later, brats and corn on the cob. Happy Independence Day, all. Be grateful.
  18. I'm excited about the discoveries made while revising Small World, but doing more of the research that makes the local librarians nervous.
  19. I fell asleep while reading my own play. Not a good sign. But I blame all the sunshine and fresh air. I was sleepy, dammit.
  20. Today's plan: 1) mow lawn, 2) re-read Small World, 3) prune bushes, 4) see Star Trek. Tomorrow, start revising!!! (the play, not the lawn)
