  3. An important classroom essential is instruction that is differentiated based on student need.
  4. Research indicates effective responses include : Social Skills Training, Academic Restructuring and Behavioral Interventions.
  5. Our challenge is often the core curriculum is "punishment." Punishing problem behaviors without a proactive support system does not work.
  6. These environments are guided by a core curriculum and implemented with consistency and fidelity.
  7. Educators cannot make students learn or behave. They can create environments to increase the likelihood students will learn and behave.
