  1. Our Thanksgiving desserts are ready to go for tomorrow. Hope I can summon the will power to resist them for an entire 24 hours!
  2. @WordKitchenDC I’m cooking Thanksgiving dinner at our house. What about you?
  3. Something is making my pot rack vibrate, causing all of my cookware to ring softly.
  4. Wish we had more food-oriented holidays! I love Thanksgiving.
  5. Desserts: Pumpkin Crème Brûlées and Meyer lemon panna cottas with pomegranate.
  6. W/ the turkey: gravy, Cranberry-Apricot Chutney, buttered Brussels sprouts, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, Traditional Sourdough Dressing.
  7. Finally settled on a Thanksgiving menu of simple comfort food. First course: butternut squash soup w/ sage pesto.
  8. I picked out my turkey today. It weighs in at just 8 ½ pounds!
  9. …Mmmmm, porky goodness.
  10. Speaking of which, the pork chopsicles I got today at Whole Foods were the best I’ve ever eaten, like well-marbled, succulent rib-eyes.
  11. Frenched bone-in rib chops will henceforth be known as “chopsicles”.

  14. Helped my bro reorganize his kitchen. He says his space has quadrupled. Perhaps I should start a kitchen outfitting & organizing business.

  16. Meanwhile, my little brother’s thinking of fried chicken for Thanksgiving…So sad, I have a family full of turkey haters.
  17. So what about it? I’ve never had or even heard of rotisserie duck. Would you do it or just stick with roasting it in the oven?
