  3. The Meat Hook was selling 3 meat chile at the Flea on Saturday-- plenty of spice, hearty beans, and heat! They'll be at New Amterdam Mkt Sun
  4. Gourmet just sent me a message from the great beyond suggesting I subscribe to Tasting Table
  5. Cooking dinner for Richert-- herbed polenta with rosemary and sage from my window boxes, tomatoes, onions and greens from ft. greene mkt.
  6. Just home from Manhattan Cocktail Classic-- truly classic on Fifth Ave., ladies in black, shakers par tous, sugared rims, and plenty a' rum
  7. Got carried away saucing tomatoes and making a killer corn chowder last night. Tomato seeds on my boots. Can barely keep my eyes open.

  16. In this order: shower, wine, writing. Feels so good to be home.
  17. Dinner at home on the roof feels like the porch at my parents house in MI, but then there's the skyline and all that Brooklyn has to offer!
  18. Who needs a post-lunch siesta when you can go skinny dipping in the creek?? Had to hold onto rocks so the current wouldn't carry us away.
  19. Spent Sunday looking for a farm upstate- made a lunch of blueberries, greens we ate with our fingers and nibbles of cheese, plus pastries.
