  1. @trishheylady Independent wealth NEVER goes out of style. :)
  2. @jennsbookshelf Planning to read it this fall. Feels like a fallish book. I hate Moby Dick. I'll try not 2 let that cloud my opinions. :)
  3. @bermudaonion No, I didn't make it. By the time I got my bookmarks ready and in the mail I just decided to stay home and relax. :)
  4. @trishheylady Yes to all of the above, but mostly work has been a bear. No downtime, so I took two days off. Great until I went back. LOL!
  5. @myfriendamy September is even better for me. I'm glad my blahs didn't make me really late. :) Awards panel would be perfect.
  6. @trishheylady That would be me - late 2 the party. Pretty burned out lately, but feeling better after my mini-vaca. :)
  7. @suzannehih Aren't freezer burned bon bons a killing offense - or did I just have a overloaded day?
  8. @myfriendamy Is it too late to get involved in BBAW?
  9. I never realized how huge Ahab's Wife was until I picked it up. Epic is an accurate description.
  10. @AAKnopf I absolutely love your The Girl Who Played with Fire contest. I've signed up and love having Lisbeth on Facebook!
  11. Literally attacked at work the minute I walked in the door. Welcome back...

  13. @Violet_Crush I know. That's the case here. It seems as though stories should stand on their own, but that's not how capitalism works...
  14. How do you feel about book covers where the author's name is larger & more prominent than the title? Makes me wonder, perhaps unnecessarily.

  16. Just started reading Last Light over Carolina by Mary Alice Monroe. Never read her B4, but enjoying it so far. Book tour date on Tuesday.
  17. @jennsbookshelf I think you already have been in touch with her - novel about widows.
  18. @DebWorldOfBooks How far did you get into The Angel's Game the first time? Just finished it a few minutes ago. Decent ending.
  19. Posted: The Sunday Salon ~ Dog Days of Summer Selections
  20. About finished with The Angel's Game. It's pretty good if not a little long - but I'm feeling that way about everything these days...
