  4. get by by talib kweli is the theme song for the week
  5. @jonathanchu thanks for the tip on optipng, will have to take advantage of that in my graphviz->convert workflow for crappy graphics ;)
  6. imagemagick is my tool of the day. command-line image manipulation is magical.
  7. graphviz on OS X seems to generate PSD files instead of PNG files when you select PNG output. Saved by imagemagick, a few minutes too late.
  8. @bitprophet Wrt commit messages, there are some svn plugins that require attaching all commits to tickets. Highly recommend
  9. @bitprophet write a ruby to php interpreter? might improve the performance by a few %? ;)
  10. Posting my most ambitious blog post in a while tomorrow. I think you'll agree that I have lost any ability to explain things I once had.
  11. @atosborne actually, I find the script works when run in shell via load-file, but not when run via the script runner. Not sure what's up.
  12. @atosborne wrt append-spit I am using the 1.0 version which may be different, or I may have made a really bone-headed typo somewhere ;)
  13. damn. clojure.contrib.duck-streams/append-spit isn't a public function for some reason. going to bed.
  14. @janl I thought that Erlang has a better change of being what Go wants to become ;)
  15. new norah jones is very forgettable, can't really recommend it.
  16. Apparently I updated CC mailing address recently, as I realized after arguing with iTunes billing form for 20 mins
  17. @lukeman I find that the 30 minute walk + 60-90 minute commute is slightly excessive. Learn from my ongoing failure.
  18. @hopelarson Christmas... this is hard. I've missed out on new book releases for at least a year. And for you?
  19. I like Clojure a lot, but the joy of Erlang comes from gen_servers and the facilities of the OTP, which are much more than just actors
  20. Yes, I'd love to have a link about teaching foreign languages to toddlers on my awful old article about programming languages and blub...
