It's been a Stink break here, what with extra doggies and marathons and the end-of-summer and all that the fall entails.

Summer is speeding by. Progress is being made, but when it comes to mixing, it seems to go much slower than during tracking.

Hereby declare tomo to be 'Shhhh, don't wreck my ears, I'm going to be mixing today' day.

Read about using two or three 'tiers' of reverb. Had already done that in some mixes, and it was great. I love reinventing the wheel.

Sonic diversity within the Le Stink sound is the goal, for a more listenable 'album' overall.

We divided the mixing duties, as we're starting with quite few choices to begin with. We're starting close, and we're going to end up close.

It appears we're at the stage where we've stopped tracking (almost) and are starting to mix.

Seems the technical woes - Mac vs PC - are over for the moment, as calm settles over the village.

Would be good if I could put some more beef on 'I'm Good' before I go. Then Coquette and Good would be getting there.

Recording slowed while Pling hosted his parents and Plong hosted the parents' dogs. Now I'm going away next week.

Vocal might be good enough to hide behind tasty backing parts. Almost same as in the demo. You get addicted to the demo. It becomes real.

Another new version of La Coquette, starting to sound slightly more finished. Room in the beginning for accordion bits.

This sound effect is almost too good to pass up, for its tension and just for the blind luck of it being in the right key. Wow!

New version of La Coquette on the FTP. It has tolling church bells in it, a sample I found which happens to be in the same key as the song.

I made some files for Plong's songs, but I didn't set the tempos or time signatures. It's all on the FTP server now.

We've got a song list and some track lists made up. Plong wants to color code them in Cubase. I think that'd be a nice touch, actually.
