  1. DS9 season 2 starts pretty strong. I am now looking forward to it more than the ever-fading TNG, season 7. The tables have turned.
  2. Fictional characters are just as real as flesh-and-blood characters except in the short term.
  3. @tamaranorbust @KateSherrod Change ≠ disintegration. We are merely returning to the linguistic malleability of the preliterate ages.
  4. @KateSherrod @tamaranorbust Incomplete sentences & initialisms FTW. Punctuation once formalised is now, like. Totally. Expressive.
  5. @KateSherrod It needs a gimmick. Swap T'Pol for Kirk and Tuvok for Sisko, call it 'Vulcans on Janeway'.
  6. @KateSherrod Threeway on Janeway? Not sure I'd really wanna avoid that TBH. XD
  7. I like commenting on year-old AVclub posts. It adds to the record w/o getting sucked into debating Sisko vs. Janeway for half a day.
  8. I was thinking maybe only the Irish are 'allowed' but the writer and director of 'The Magical Legend of Leprechauns' were both British.
  9. Apparently Colm Meaney was in a whole movie about leprechauns and even played a leprechaun so I don't know why he refused to have it on DS9…
  10. For the record Data and Worf have several great scenes together. I said they don't but that's just what it seemed like up til season 5.
  11. They obviously didn't care and watching all the actors 'joyfully' go along with their characters' destruction for a payday is distasteful.
  12. Some say TNG never did a mirror universe ep where the characters all act aggressively unlike themselves. But how else to explain the movies?
  13. @fimrie In an anomaly-altered future so I count it as an alternate universe 'Captain Riker'. He was temporarily captain against the Borg.
  14. In this one Data takes command, reprimands Worf for being a bad first officer, and then they discuss their pricelessly literal friendship.
  15. Well ok he was temporarily Captain in the main universe. And saved the world. And then promptly got demoted and then shitcanned by Jellico.
  16. @tokidokizenzen @KateSherrod Yeah that's why it's such a tactically poor choice. He's really not helping the situation but whatevs Mr. D.
  17. Riker never got to be Captain the Enterprise, but his career strategy worked out great for his near-alternate universe selves. Think big.
