  10. British Sign Language (BSL) is very different from American Sign Language (ASL) & the two are not mutually intelligible.
  11. @NatalieDread Correct. ASL is largely based off of Old French Sign Language & systems that grew organically in the US.
  12. American Sign Language (ASL) is not directly translated from English. It has its own grammar, idioms, and even dialects.
