  1. @simonsaybrams And while I'm not very strong on the former, the Netflix reviews of it are hilarious.
  2. @simonsaybrams Nope - started the week with HEADER, ended it with this week's Fan Fiction Friday entry.
  3. Within the last seven days, I have encountered two pieces of fiction that involve skullfucking. What is wrong with me in my opinion.
  4. I am becoming genuinely addicted to Topless Robot's Fan Fiction Friday. Stop me before my mind goes totally into the toilet!
  5. Born of Fire (83, Dehlavi) [C+] Swings from tedious to genuinely eerie; an odd duck at any rate. Might have helped to know more about Islam.
  6. @simonsaybrams SLEEPAWAY 2 & 3 are just dull generic slashers. Dunno about RETURN, but @scottwblack gave it a 4. Out of 100.
  7. @simonsaybrams Here's our own @Kza's take on it: http://bit.ly/19k1i0
  8. Ong-Bak ('05, Pinkaew) [B] Story ho-hum, but man oh man can Tony Jaa ever deliver a beatdown. I'm just sayin'.
  9. @simonsaybrams But still an interesting stance - like a self-loathing John Waters flick.
  10. @simonsaybrams The thematics of SLEEPAWAY CAMP are pretty fascinating. It's not sex it condemns, it's perversity. Reactionary, true.
  11. Stan Helsing ('09, Zemba) [F] For all of you out there sad that there's no Friedberg/Seltzer joint this year... here's your fucking movie.
  12. @opalfilms Here, I'll help you out: It's shit. :-)
  13. A Serious Man ('09, Coens) [C-] Sterile, stagnant, weirdly labored - half a fuckin' disaster, basically. What the fuck, Joel'n'Ethan.
  14. Netflix review: "half of the time you coulden't see what was going on, so how can it be called "I Can See You'? " #missingthefuckingpoint
  15. I Can See You ('09, Reznick) [B] I'm unable to lift myself out of my chair right now. I consider this a mark of this film's effectiveness.
  16. @scarequotes And you fail to recognize its awesomeness? For shame, sir. Go forth and KILL.
  17. @scarequotes Man, why you hatin' on ZARDOZ?
  18. Alien Trespass ('09, Goodwin) [C] Not as loathsome as LOST SKELETON OF CADAVRA since it does eventually aim for sincerity. Still: pointless.
  19. Naked and Violent ('70, Martino) [C] Seems for a while to be a wicked satire of the mondo genre. Then it turns into just another mondo film.
  20. Splatter Movie: The Director's Cut ('08, Best) [D+] Empty masturbation - so wholly meta that it forgets to have something to be meta about.
