  1. @amberlrhea Oh, that's just ridiculous. Sadly, I do know couples like that. Not in *this* house, though. I'm not a mommy martyr.
  2. @amberlrhea (But he *will* be equally parenting when he gets home- we both believe in that.)
  3. @amberlrhea I don't know what her situation is, but my husband won't be home from deployment until our baby (due 12/9) is 6 months old.
  4. I think I may have gotten caffeinated coffee at Starbucks by accident. My heart is racing.
  5. @superbadfriend If you're listening to music on your computer, have you tried Pandora?
  6. @SamanthaHunter I agree, Sam. Getting rejections is worse than writing them. But only by a thin margin!
  7. @lissamatthews I agree on the waiting being a special kind of hell. Nothing quite like seeing a TOC and realizing you're not on there.
  8. @superbadfriend Nah, I never go to MySpace anymore. It scares me. ;-)
  9. @lissamatthews I think it hurts more to get them. (The writer in me hates not knowing if I made the cut, which is why I'm writing them.)
  10. @lissamatthews Definitely not, I agree.
  11. I'm beginning the difficult process of writing rejection letters. No fun.
  12. @debaucheddiva Baby is due December 9.
  13. @debaucheddiva Thanks. Honestly, a bit of a mess right now. I'll be ok once he's landed safely & once I know he's homeward bound again.
  14. Husband is on a plane bound for Dubai... He'll be gone for 8 months, minus whatever baby leave the Navy will give him in December. Sigh.
  15. So sad to hear about Kate Duffy. I received one of my very best rejection letters from her. #kateduffy
  16. I'm so ready to be finished with this anthology.
  17. Hunting for a midwife/birthing center in Hampton Roads, VA that accepts Tricare. Recommendations welcome!
  18. @TPadratzik Re: baby's room: Land of Nod safari bedding, 2 yellow, 2 green walls, dark wood furniture. Still working on decorating!
  19. @saskiawalker Truly? I wondered if the Roomba is worth it-- getting around furniture, table/chair legs, etc.
  20. I'm editing an anthology that's due to publisher in 12 days. My husband is leaving for 8 months in Dubai in 12 days. Can you say STRESS?
