supper: yucca petal curry with preserved lemons, beebalm pesto, chicken and sweet red pepper.

preparing for a quick walk up the mountain to dig some skullcap plants and check on a few general harvesting areas then off to the village.
san francisco and gila river ethnobotany research, listening to the wind and being in love with the Gila :)
tending to a giant rock cut on my leg with beebalm/mugwort lard salve & about to take a bath under the stars, woodheated and clawfooted.
just finished up with a client and brought wash water in barrels up from the river in the old jeep. back to emails.
lunch: small steak, bitter greens with pesto and lots of water. tinctured freshly harvested herbs and now back to work :)
Back from the walk: hot and slightly sunburned but refreshed after dousing myself in the river. Harvested cherry flowers, wafer ash and more
about to go on a walk up the arroyo to gather beebalm sprouts and other medicines and foods. Honeysuckle is ~almost~ blooming.
writing the book, endlessly. eating nettle soup and listening to the blues. compulsively kissing the ashwagandha plant, silly me :)
smelling wild grape flower and gathering wild greens for lunch. now back to studying/developing/writing on the medicine woman energetics...
drinking chamomile-tulsi-rose tea, working on publishing options and excited about wild rose and nettle harvest.
Evaluating student work and expanding curriculum. And taking little break to run outside and pet the plants!
Refining my emerging energetics system, my brain hurts. Listening to the strangest banjo music ever :)
Potting up my finest Ashwagandha baby to keep nearby and watering the ones in the garden. Amazing and tough plant, my newest obsession!
studying tcm theory, especially constitutional theory.
dessert: mmm, fresh strawberries and unsweetened, spiced truffles.
Bah, too late for dandelions and shepherd's purse. Nevertheless the leafing box elder maples are gorgeous and sweet clover everywhere.
Off to the village, hoping to find some dandelion flowers and shepherd's purse.
Brain fried from too much publisher research, time to drink some tea and fall into my lovely outdoor bed.
Supper: more turkey-nettle soup, this time with sweet clover pesto added!
