  1. And I thought I left rigging discos behind me 28 years ago...all for the love of a niece!
  2. I made it under 11 stone. My eight-mile walk Thursday night the tipping point? Price one blister, two sore legs, three insect bites :-)
  3. Incredible in-ear music while working on company web pages on aft deck of boat. iTunes shuffle reminds all the great music on my laptop
  4. Experimenting with LED interior lights on the boat. Found an MR16 style with built in 8V-30V regulator that seems promisingly bright
  5. Upgraded to iPhone v3, copy and paste yay! But eclipsed by Navionics chartplotter app with charts for UK and NL. 15 quid. Stupidly good.
  6. @andyjeffries have been holding off on iPhone 3 but weird iTunes unavailable messages also experienced on v2
  7. Working but out in the sun at 0730 so about as good as it gets if you have to be playing with plans
  8. Reading Robert Peston's Who Runs Britain
  9. I will only be doing of design in Hexagon three times next year, amateur societies declared uneconomic to stage by Reading Borough Council
  10. Mum and Dad's golden wedding anniversary lunch today, lots of memories and everyone on top form. A red (or gold?) letter day
  11. Just booted out of ITIL course thanks to fire alarm. Ah well, time to practice terminology...is it a problem or an incident?
  12. Day 2 of ITIL v3. Concluded I walk about a lot in office; several hours of training at desk today and I was wriggling like a hooked maggot
  13. Flight Control has two new airfields. Excellent! Oops, back to studying...
  14. Day 1 of ITIL v3 foundation; head now full of processes upon processes. Test paper tonight if I can ease constipation of the grey matter
  15. Back from a long weekend in Rome. How come our advanced 21st society cannot make buildings last 20 years while BC buildings still standing?
  16. Scanning lots of old prints and negatives. Epson V700 rocks. Thank you IPC soulmates for the Amazon voucher that funded this.
  17. On the boat. The rebuild continues but how much more fun now we can actually sleep aboard and (today at least) wake up to blue skies
  18. Another recruitment agency email gem: "Ill keep this brief..." it starts - perhaps they cut his commission if he wastes time on apostrophes.
  19. Must be getting desperate in recruitment agency land, Computer Futures' latest spam offers me a 'unique housing opportunity' in Saundersfoot
  20. Staying in Yeovil tonight, taking a rest from the A303 and it's annoying evening closure last night.
