  1. @phdinparenting oh yes. I think this is the most compelling reason of all!
  2. I love that my childrens' school has the kids planning, prepping & serving vegetarian thanksgiving lunch today & tomorrow. #Montessori
  3. @phdinparenting absolutely! I have lots of bookmarked pages from over the years... It'll be fun. No guarantees on delivery time though! ;)
  4. @phdinparenting sure! It will be a good exercise for me to put it all down in one place too. :)
  5. @phdinparenting also tempeh. And lots of kid-friendly veggeis higher in protein broccoli, artichokes, peas...
  6. @phdinparenting mycoprotein tastes great though some digestibility questions up in the air - it's a fungus.
  7. @phdinparenting brewers yeast, barley, eggs (if you're not going vegan), soy (though I'd caution against soymilk in particular for boys)
  8. @phdinparenting I can write a blog post w/vegetable sources of protein/other nutrients. On my iPhone now - typing cumbersome! ;)
  9. @phdinparenting though dairy carries problems of it's own of course.
  10. @phdinparenting there are also dairy sources of protein.
  11. @phdinparenting plant material & meat consuming humans get far more protein than necessary. But beans, nuts, seeds, grains like quinoa
  12. @phdinparenting I don't like to think of eating/meal prep in terms of "alternatives" or "substitutions". There is protein available in most
  13. @zoeyspeak meat but he had meat when he wanted to prepare or buy it outside of home...
  14. @zoeyspeak why would it be near impossible to eat meat? My DH only became vegetarian w/in the last year. Been together 15 yrs I never served
  15. @rockdrool is what that easy? I'm sorry I'm on my iPhone...
  16. @phdinparenting meat doesn't supply nutrients that I can't get from a plant source. I'd try other plant based options - pretty limitless!
  17. @dotnetcowboy @JupiterSinclair yeah... Ick.
  18. @noadhominem matters in what way? Oh yeah in the politicians who don't know much abt anything relevant & quit their jobs kind of way?
  19. @zoeyspeak Interesting. resents it, how?
  20. @phdinparenting ...as a parent is 2 offer only the healthiest options 2 my children so they learn 2 make the healthy informed choices l8r.
