  1. @johnlacey When I was researching the best definitions I found were on http://bit.ly/1892to
  2. Don't usually do a night all thing, but it's fitting in this situation as people might wonder why I've gone silent. So, night all. :-P
  3. @dacheah And prepare! Number one downfall is if someone doesn't bother to read the publication. 'If you don't know it, we won't go it.'
  4. @dacheah Coffee is key - at the nearest coffee place to where they work. Do a meet and greet. Ask lots of questions. Pitch later by email.
  5. @XMPieman True, although it's hard to find in between all the 'brilliant, amazing, leading, renowned' and 'one of a kind' references. ;-)
  6. @jonoabroad Thought so, thank you - is it easy to set up a proxy?
  7. @_Tors I had to laugh, one day I got a call asking how much it was for a page... of editorial. I was like... er, nothing - it's editorial.
  8. @karalee_ I love it! It's... "I have a problem, I can't afford to advertise. Oh yeah, PR, what's that journo's email? I'll book it in now."
  9. @Kimota Call me old fashioned, but I still appreciate a 'how are you?' every now and again.
  10. @Skigod People who don't employ PR agencies. :-P
  11. The way people 'do' business with a journalist: "Hi, I have an article for you to run for publicity. Here it is. Next month suits me. Bye."
  12. I love following the cycle of social media education & its Chinese whisper effect: "It's a dialogue. Listen. It's conversation. Add value."
  13. In the last couple of weeks, I've been a fly on the wall and listened to reactions on social media. A fear of it & feeling lost are common.
  14. Has anyone hacked the BBC iPlayer in Australia? We're missing out on so much great content.
  15. @MattySoccio Do some work!
  16. Feeling like I'm no longer a member of any online community. Fully absorbed with offline life... Dubious. Individual. Free.
  17. I've always wanted to know if it was better working client or agency side in marketing. Your view?
  18. Morning Australia. Having a late night researching and catching up, thanks to the Dell Mini 10, here in the UK.
  19. Nothing like watching Wimbledon at a reasonable hour. Well done Federer. Poor Roddick... next time. Nice words from Sampras too.
  20. How was @socialmelb this week? Looking forward to seeing everyone when I return and also meeting the new faces. :-)
