  1. My offical Doc/Fest duties have been completed.
  2. ♥ Assolto Per Aver Commesso il Fatto by Piero Piccioni #lastfm: http://bit.ly/M22nw
  3. ...and another on the Cinema Eye nominations: http://tinyurl.com/yg8cdbn
  4. I'm guest posting on @akstanwyck's blog from Sheffield. Reviews of docs on Pulp/Sheffield music and Islamic punk: http://tinyurl.com/yfgrnek
  5. Videocracy won the special jury prize and the 2nd screening of Disco and Atomic War sold out. All is well.
  6. As it turned out, the Sheffield gay bar was a pretty great idea.
  7. Watched fragments of six films in the Videotheque. Most impressed by Transit Dubai.
  8. @Filmbrain: agreed. Now I don't have to write about it, because Armond said it all better than I could.
  9. On day 9 of festivaling, the coffee stops working and anything with score lulls me to sleep.
  10. This time my sandwich came w/ real tomato, w/out my having to specify. Also: farmhouse cheddar absolves all sins
  11. Just had my first significant serving of vegetables since Monday. #fuckyeahvitamins
  12. Trying to figure out if it's worth it to go to the gala dinner when I'd have to leave after an hour to intro Disco. Also not gala dressed.
  13. Moderating the Q&As for American Radical screening at 17:25, Disco & Atomic War at 21:40.
  14. Rollerskating was super fun but ... ouch. Karaoke is the safer film festival party activity for clumsy me.
  15. @dmcdougall: there's still time! 2 hours by train from London, three days left to the festival.
  16. Sheffield is like Cannes for documentary people. But with rollerskating.
  17. Sheffield Doc/Fest has the best, most comprehensive festival screening library I've ever seen.
  18. Many Twitter responses indicate I was wrong to assume tomato sauce as national standard. I no longer blame England as a whole for my stain.
  19. @FilmFan1971: yes, in Sheffield.
  20. So when you order egg sandwich with tomato in England, they mean tomato sauce. Which means there is now a red globule on my white sweater.
