  1. @GroovyMail Agreed!
  2. Good reminder from @jacaldwell re: best practices. I am a fan of breaking the mold, but the BPs are there for a reason: bit.ly/KJVRqK
  3. Not sure whether to laugh or cry at this unsub confirm email wrapped in a "welcome!" banner... twitter.com/KNLorenz/statu…
  4. This is especially important for cyclical & long-sale products: bit.ly/MJQH23 Instead of sending to send, send for value.
  5. Taming Gmail - good case, but is it sustainable if they've stopped efforts or will they have to do ongoing campaigns? bit.ly/JYlHcZ
  6. Happen to be in Singapore on June 13? Come see me present email marketing strategies at ad:tech: bit.ly/LotwIw
  7. @DeniseInAsia @Jackydoy Yes thank you, I will try to represent @apsis well at Ad:tech Singapore :)
  8. One of the key strategies for marketing? Know your audience & speak to that audience in a voice they relate to, addressing their needs.
  9. This highlights the danger of dipping into discounting b/c then that's what you're known for & it's hard to reverse: bit.ly/KBMskq
  10. Interesting stats regarding top-level domain engagement rates with emails from @returnpath & @otherinbox: bit.ly/LMCn62
  11. @danielhaaf Can I help resolve any issues regarding Apsis?
  12. @omgitsonlyalex Thanks for the #ff! Have a good weekend!
  13. @alexcwilliams @rorycarlyle But, with that said, every email should be actionable & push towards an ultimate action.
  14. @rorycarlyle @alexcwilliams If emails a marketer sends ultimately doesn't result in an action being taken, it's a failure. Like all mkting.
  15. @rorycarlyle @alexcwilliams Not at all re: action in the email. Action could be store visits, forwarding to a friend, purchasing when ready
  16. @omgitsonlyalex @alexcwilliams Email's not a brand-building channel IMO. If they come back & buy later, that is an action, & thus success.
  17. @alexcwilliams The goal of email is some action. It can be relationship-building, but if at the end of the day they don't act, not good.
  18. @TimRoman Is it worth responding, in your opinion, to a thread like this?
  19. @jvanrijn And yet it's accepted as the truth if someone important says it. See the FB guru guy that responded to that thread.
  20. I don't care if someone opens my email if they don't subsequently take the action I want them to take. High opens, low action is a failure.
