  1. Time for another trip! Rather than creating another Twitter account for each new destination, follow me here: @JustinAbroad
  2. One last Twitterpation: I have put my pictures (along with a few I stole from others) up on Flickr: http://tinyurl.com/AlaskaPhotoset
  3. Okay! The trip is over, and I'm back at work. That means it's the end of the Twittering. Thanks for listening everyone!
  4. All the guys decided not to shave after the wedding. This means the other three have peachfuzzy scruff, but I have a beard in need of a trim
  5. Back in Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport! There is a nice new terminal they just built, I hear. I haven't seen that one much.
  6. I like to splinter our group. For example the group picked TGIFridays for our last dinner. So I started a revolution to break off.
  7. 8/13!!
  8. BTW we're up to 6/13 on the brewery count. We're hoping we can hit one more in Anchorage to get us to a majority.
  9. Our last day in Alaska dawns sunny and warmish! I'm totally packed. Mark and Lynn are scared of breaking zippers.
  10. The kids we've encountered on this trip, tourist or native, have been confident fun little explorer types. Alaska is not for the whiny.
  11. We made friends with a coffeeshop owner named Katie. She was cool and also apparently she supplies coffee to the Deadliest Catch guy.
  12. One terrible, unfortunate word: karaoke.
  13. I have now had the best coffee drink ever constructed. Alaska knows coffee I have found.
  14. We have had beer from 5 of the 13 breweries in Alaska.
  15. Alaska has really good dogs.
  16. We walked into a locals bar in Seward, AK. Like it was serious business: hair, work clothes, no teeth, huge dogs. The dogs were sweet.
  17. You're hiking up a mountain next to a glacier to see a big icefield. What do you do?! You don't expect it to be 75 degrees, that's what.
  18. Our streak of stupid beautiful days continues, with the fifth consecutive seventy degree, perfectly sunny Alaskan day.
  19. Jen made me promise that I'd say that she beat me in cards (finally) AND she won the "what time is it" bet too.
  20. Internet access in these Alaska B&Bs is significantly more exciting than it has any business being.
