  1. The most difficult thing to teach is that the student already knows how to do it. You just said it, now type it into the calculator....
  2. In an outsourcing class. Professor is anti-partisan, rather than non-partisan. Fun to see him puncture u'grad mis-information.
  3. At an MBA class on Twitter. I need to take better advantage of this....
  4. Ah, yes, "Arsenic and Old Lace" is much better.
  5. "Say Anything" may not have been the best choice 2 wks after my fiance broke up with me, but it is a great movie.
  6. Feed from SpaceX just started...
  7. @The_Stargazer BS. Usually means, "our costs go down, but we'll double our price anyway". He's an academic; what does he mean?
  8. @glxp Thanks. You've been a pioneer to those of us watching you work.
  9. Just joined International Association of Space Entrepreneurs. Should have much earlier.
  10. Catching up on old RSS feeds. Congrats to DigitalGlobe on their IPO (a month and a half ago). Missed @jeff_foust last May 14th.
  11. Having a rockin' good time reading papers on industry standards and cruising the AIAA standards publications.
  12. @waynehale But also if there's a small possibility of big breakthrough on mission with a firm lower limit of "all hands". Upside Black Swan.
  13. @waynehale It's "extremistan" if the failure rate generally is higher than you are expecting and you lose the whole system.
  14. @waynehale "launch safety in extremistan" Isn't there an upper limit of "total failure, all hands lost"? Are we thinking crash in city?
  15. LRO/LCROSS is the first mission in a while I've been really interested. Awesome.
  16. I haven't posted here recently thanks to finals, but this subject came up last week at SIS with Ken Davidian. http://bit.ly/RpwDG
  17. Reading The Goal by Goldratt. Do I get a prize if I called Factory Waves, like, 100 pages before they showed up?
  18. Reading The Goal by Goldratt. Trying to decide between "That's just Ohm's Law!" and "Hey! That's Ohm's Law!"
  19. I'm amazed at how much easier an MBA is when it's interesting. Just read 16 chapters in a book for a class that hasn't started yet.
  20. @RyInSpace Very jealous. Never got up there enough when I lived in Denver.
