  1. I may disagree with him on climate change, but Johnny Ball's still a Chap, wish I could see him at #GodlessChristmas http://bit.ly/5P2cYD
  2. RT @CassiniSaturn: A glint of sunlight (aka a specular reflection) confirms liquid in northern Lake District of Ttan. http://is.gd/5rH3L
  3. Mind you, if you want to empty a cinema as quickly as humanly possible at the start of credits, pick Leona Lewis to sing. Soundtrack FAIL!
  4. And noone but noone does big clanking industrial-military scifi like J Cameron. I thought Avatar would be his folly, but it's a triumph.
  5. Animation is stunning, I've an animators eye & CG humanoid motion almost never looks right, nor face acting. Avatar got it SO good.
  6. Seen on small screen it'll probably be underwhelming, flawed, what I'd expected from seeing clips. But on big screen in 3D, a revelation.
  7. Avatar is pure cinema. Watching clips online is like seeing shit mobilephone footage of a gig rather than being at the front in person.
  8. RT @Kopmatt09: Nice to see someone finally standing up to the Daily Mail scum http://tinyurl.com/y9zrywq
  9. So much I want to say about Avatar, but haggis supper takes priority. ARTERY-CLOGGING NOM.
  10. Woah! DEFINITELY worth it. Spectacular doesnt even begin to describe it. Incredible!
  11. About to watch J Cameron's big blue CG fest. 9 quid! Normally Id go for 2D version, hope the 3D is worth it...
  12. RT @mrchrisaddison We're not going to space and we're withdrawing from the LHC. Utterly shameful lack of vision. http://bit.ly/6TrXqR
  13. Dawn this morning, sketched on the iPod Touch: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jonnagl/4190236220/
  14. You know the bits in Aliens where they find the alien secretions used to make their hive, all sticky & wrong? I've just made some.
  15. Dammit! Dammit! Stupid gelatine sheets and their bizarre ways!
  16. Damn you gelatine! Obey my culinary will!
  17. RT @newscientist: A UK newspaper today published "100 reasons why global warming is natural". We take out 50 of them. http://bit.ly/6MpIHJ
  18. First impression of Guardian iPhone app: very handy indeed for offline reading, no more need I turn to the Metro en route to work.
  19. Turns out my favourite Belgian DJ, Alexandra Vassen, has a show on Pure FM devoted to French-language music. Parfait! http://bit.ly/5iIGp3
  20. WOAH. Just back from preview screening of Precious. Emotionally devastating, really hard going, stunningly good. Much blubbing ensued.
