  3. Packing for Madagascar, the furthest place on the globe from California. I'm hosting my second episode for National Geographic. Pray for me!
  4. The whirlwind media tour of Australia continues. Here's last Friday's morning TV appearance: http://tinyurl.com.au/x.php...
  5. It's the apex of summer, and I'm sorting through winter clothes trying to find things to wear in Australia, where it's cold, dark and rainy.
  6. I leave for Madagascar soon---the furthest place on the globe from California---camera crew following me. Holy shit. Pray for me. Now dance!
  7. Oh. My. God! This set on KPOO (89.5) just won't quit---all Micheal, all the time...right now, at least. fuck. dance, people! the time is now
  8. bravo KPOO!
  9. Right now: kick-ass Michael J set on KPOO, 89.5FM (SF). Led with Quincy Jones, gorgeous arc to this set---dancing alone at home and laughing

  11. Just home from the final performance of Schubert & Berg festival. There is nothing like the roar of 2500 appreciative people applauding you.
  12. At symphony rehearsal with Michael Tilson Thomas---we're doing Schbert's mass in E flat. Gorgeous. See pic: http://yfrog.com/0t84qj
  13. Salmon season is canceled and it makes total sense. Central Valley farmers are water junkies. Pay attn: Kill the fish, and soon we die too.
  14. Embracing the cold of a San Francisco summer: I'm off, via motorcycle, to the Marin Headlands to watch the fog roil over the Golden Gate.
  15. Pitch-correction software has ruined pop music: every star act on the American Idol finale sings flat when performing live. Fergie, espesh.
  16. (P.S. – I'm terrible at keeping up with adding followers. No offense. The msgs go into a folder I never check--but will eventually. Thanks.)
  17. Melbourne is cold and grey and far away: I'm not moving there. Nothing can match coming home to Northern California in springtime.
  18. ---heartily---of the letter's simple elecance, written by Social Sec Desirée Rogers. Good form has returned to America. Brava.
  19. Just received my first correspondence from the White House, a gracious note indeed. Mrs Emily Post would have approved
  20. Mid-spring in London pops with bright yellows and pale greens. What colors will Melbourne be this weekend?
