  2. @mschrag want WO/ObjC back yet? ;-)
  3. @incanus77 saw it loved it
  4. @CocoaGeek agreed, both my wife an my newborn daughter had (to understate it without gory details) very bad days. Worst day of my life.
  5. Apple replaced my MacBook Pro's battery on May 29th, and now again on November 19th. Brutal. I mean, AWESOME, THANKS APPLE, but WTF?
  6. @mdhughes cowbell is just the prescription...
  7. @mdhughes you can filter out a hashtag? What client do you use? I'd love to be able to do that. Sorry 'bout the noise in your timeline...
  8. @stevedekorte economies of scale give US facilities access to equipment Canada doesn't have. Canadians go for on-demand or special service.
  9. @stevedekorte Americans come to Canada for care and medicine too.
  10. @stevedekorte insurance companies are motivated to avoid service whenever possible to improve their bottom line. That doesn't equal fairness
  11. @stevedekorte there are many ways to get there. I don't care how the care is dished out as long as everyone can have it for a fair price.
  12. @stevedekorte this is really a simple problem. Americans are demanding a better service level agreement so they can be healthy, affordably.
  13. @stevedekorte you consider 100% of the US system a mistake. You don't like the gov't part or the regulations for the private part.
  14. @stevedekorte i know two (married) doctors in town that live in a $2M house. They're doing alright working for the big bad government here.
  15. @stevedekorte then help convince doctors they can still be very wealthy in a system where everyone gets the care they need.
  16. @stevedekorte then learn from those mistakes and do better. No system is ever perfect. And unfortunately the US reform bill is terrible.
  17. @stevedekorte I'd rather spend $1.1T than $2.24T. Take out 800B in fat and there's still $1.44T left, so you charge more for better service!
  18. @stevedekorte giving everyone health care would improve outcomes and human happiness. But greedy doctors may have to live in cages... Ok?
  19. @stevedekorte so there's plenty of money, and the majority of Americans favour universal health care.
  20. @stevedekorte 2006 CDN per capita spending = $US3678. US pop = 309M. 3678x309M~=1.1T. US spent $2.24T on health in 2007 http://bit.ly/2SNmXD
