  1. I'm back at work, after a relaxing long weekend in Las Vegas with friends. A much needed break!
  2. In Vegas @ Mirage, just saw Cirque du Soleil's LOVE... Wow! Great music, fantastic stagecraft, & awesome athletes!
  3. I'm catching up on all of my emails from being in China for two weeks... and it's 4am! Blame it on jet-lag!!
  4. Suffering jet-lag a bit, but not letting it mess up Halloween. I'm in a karate outfit just done w kids. Now, out 2 party!
  5. Chinese are getting a laugh from the lion head. We've had a great trip, but I'm looking forward to sleeping in my own bed!
  6. On plane... carrying colorful costum lion's head, often mistaken for a dragon, used in Chinese celebrations.
  7. Just ate @ Four Seas Int'l House. Oddly, this is a knock off of the Asian "all you can eat sushi" buffets popular in SoCal.
  8. We are @ Tang Yuan Restaurant, nicknamed the "White House" for it's stunning reflections on surrounding pond.
  9. Shopping @ Onelink International Plaza a huge market with tons of fun Chinese gifts. I got cute kid's tea set for niece.
  10. Just finished speech to Chinese TV professionals. It was a "great success". Lots of people getting pics w us!
  11. I'm becoming a massage connoisseur with hour long massages in the $12 range. Work stress is gone each night!
  12. Eating at 'The Deluxe Restaurant', world class food & service with scenic private 'lotus pond' rooms with koi fish below.
  13. At the Nanyue King Mausoleum Museum, discovered by chance in 1983. It is window into 2200 year old kingdom.
  14. The food here has been fantastic! But, at times it feels like an endless game of Fear Factor. Today, meal inc pigeon and turtle.
  15. At Kaiping Diaolou World Heritage site... Wow! 1800+ unique early 1900s castle-houses built by rich returning expats.
  16. Visited Dr Sun Yatsen Museum in Cuiheng. He's loved by all Chinese for his democratic ideals learned growing-up in US.
  17. At Yuexiu Park, I learned to play jianzi. This is an ancient Chinese game like hacky sack but using a shuttlecock...very fun!
  18. 2nd day started at Yuexiu Park & 5 Ram sculpture. Legend is rams ridden by gods bring rice & fertility to Guangzhou.
  19. We're in Meizhou, a small but important town. And, the epicenter of Hakka culture. Hakka is a sub group of the Han.
  20. We are at Dadongyan Temple with a giant pagoda and beautiful temple with fantastic carvings as the sun sets.
