  1. I would assume that this day and the mornings of Dec 24 and Dec 31 are the LEAST productive work days of the year.
  2. My parents are in town for the week. That means lots of father/son house projects followed by beer and football.
  3. The midnite show of "New Moon" in Creston was packed with screaming girls. I don't think they were screaming because the movie was scary.
  4. @meeskite Yeah, I'm 6'3" and I think Logan is headed that direction!
  5. Daughter Kayla loved "New Moon." Critics don't matter as long as the target audience is pleased.
  6. Welcoming my parents to town tomorrow, thus beginning a week-long "Thanksgiving-palooza" marked by an astonishing amount of calorie intake.
  7. Our black cat Jinx has a favorite activity: Lurking.
  8. I counter a prediction of an inch of "slushy snow" with a nice cozy fire in the fireplace.
  9. Congrats to the Ames Middle School Mock Trial team...they've been selected to compete at the state tournament beginning this Thursday.
  10. The Creston Vocal Department's production of "Grease" is awesome. Special shout-out to the pit orchestra--they rocked the house.
  11. Going to enjoy daughter Lauren's performance at a piano festival, have dinner with daughter Kayla, then see son Logan in "Grease."
  12. It's Friday the 13th and my black cat is demanding extra treats...or she'll curse me by spending extra time in the litter box.
  13. Kids' schedule this weekend: early band practice, doctor's appt, mock trial competition, musical performances, and a piano festival. TGIF?
  14. Tara can recite "T'was The Night Before Christmas" though I don't remember the part about Santa seeking legal help after falling at a house.
  15. While working from home, I discovered what our kittens do all day when we're gone: hit each other in the face with their little kitty paws.
  16. Awesome: children and pets greet returning soldiers. http://bit.ly/WDHKC
  17. @J_Hancock They do--but I bet it is tough to sell ads in it these days. I don't have a landline myself and use the internet to get numbers
  18. Working from home and...the new phone book's here! The new phone book's here! Things are going to start happening to me now!
  19. Thank you veterans.
  20. I've got meetings, meetings, meetings today. Daydreaming of turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce.
