  1. The best tests/specs state your intent, not your means.
  2. When doing TDD/BDD, tests/specs should clarify - not ossify - your design.
  3. "Hulk get angry. Hulk smash. Hulk tf destroy." RT @alanstevens: Through liberal use of "tf destroy" I think I've broken out of merge hell.
  4. @adymitruk @chadmyers I imported svn2git without too many hassles. Worth a try IMHO. If you hit a roadblock, then eval the value of history.
  5. @chadmyers svn2git isn't too difficult. I did it for #psake. Just be prepared to do a few runs to get your authors file correct.
  6. @sbohlen Easiest would be to mock the dependency and throw an exception. Otherwise look at fault injection. http://is.gd/eRxCj
  7. Better wash it down with some scotch. :^) RT @dbelcham: ooo...spicey sub and wine is not mixing so well right now
  8. There are two types of school buses. Those with afterburners and those without. http://youtu.be/PTRCMHWZLpU
  9. @adymitruk Turns out the gap has already been closed with smart HTTP (http://is.gd/eH5f0), but historically it was a problem.
  10. @armmer Excellent link. Hadn't realized that git smart HTTP had been implemented. Very cool. http://progit.org/2010/03/04/smart-http.html
  11. @ayende @adymitruk Agreed. hg makes sense from Google's (and by extension MS') perspective. That article is a good read. http://is.gd/eH1aC
  12. @lucisferre git doesn't require ssh, but it prefers it. git over http/https is very chatty as it treats it as a file repo, not a server.
  13. @adymitruk Fundamental problem IMHO is that git works best over SSH and MS' & Google's infrastructure is HTTP. hg works better over HTTP.
  14. MIT is famous for its pranks. A few days ago, the Doctor dropped in on the Massachusetts Institute of Tardisology... http://is.gd/eGKJn
  15. Saw the strangest cycling attire today. The guy could best be described as Shatner Does Flash Dance. Frightening...
  16. Happy Birthday, @jessicammoss!
  17. @dbelcham If you pulled an ayende, I am now wondering what it means to pull a belcham. I suspect it involves scotch.
