  1. Prince of Persia movie trailer out. Probably silly and mindless. Next Pirates of the Caribbean? http://bit.ly/6laIJ
  2. @phanboy_iv Hasn't one generally been a little bit more arcady than the other, though?
  3. @phanboy_iv I mean, if you prefer a slower-paced territory war to traditional FPS CTF that's fine, but MW2 looks pretty much like MW1.
  4. @phanboy_iv One is an official trailer with a CTF, the other isn't? CTF usually works better with a smaller number of people, anyway.
  5. This is the funniest thing I've seen in days. RT @ADAMATOMIC: http://bit.ly/4qcwr0
  6. Wow. The scripting questions from last year's programming competition were significantly intense. You could tell which teams were returning.
  7. RT @Syfy: I'm giving away a #Stargate Universe t-shirt to a random person who RTs this note by 9pm PT! #sgu
  8. The ACM midwest regional programming competition is afoot!
  9. TellTale giving away Wallace & Grommit Episode 3 for free until Nov 9th. http://www.telltalegames.co...
  10. Remember remember the 5th of November, the vampire treason and plot. I know of no reason why the vamp hunting season should ever be forgot.
  11. Woah, wow. Unreal Development Kit is now free for indie developers. As middleware goes, this is pretty sweet. http://www.udk.com/
  12. @gentristar How could I forget? At least one person on campus is attending all his classes wearing full V attire.
  13. Cassandra amazes and confuses me. A NOSQL peer to peer distributed database that can grow and heal itself like an electronic lifeform. Ok.
  14. Yes, even the Wikipedia article for "Giblets" was trolled at some point in the past. http://bit.ly/2wEdBF
  15. @phanboy_iv I expect consoles will start doing interesting things about the same time that procedural generation really takes off.
  16. @phanboy_iv If mass market is exposed to and starts demanding complex games, things'll shift back in favor of the PC.
  17. @phanboy_iv My guess is that it's a holdover from older consoles. No reason it can't swing a different direction if there's money in it.
  18. @phanboy_iv Mass market appeal is where the money is. Easier to make a crappy PC port and scrape up a bit extra than to do it right.
  19. @phanboy_iv There's no reason for it, though. Consoles have been capable of in-depth, complicated games for ages.
  20. @phanboy_iv Graphics are shiny, but it's getting harder to tell the diff with each leap in tech. Few games really need it at this point.
