  1. Interviewed the zoophagous child. Exhibits none of @RMRenfield's mania. http://wp.me/pGVlx-1r
  2. Vincent telegraphed this morning to say he found one of the children chasing a spider, then eating it.
  3. @draculafiles I suppose theologians would support the idea that all biological processes have, at their roots, some metaphysical impetus.
  4. Have taken more samples and cultures. Will run more tests to determine reactivity. Told Dr. Vincent to update me on any developments.
  5. (@VanHelsingMD) Perhaps there is some viral mechanism, purely biological and non-occult, at work here. I must run tests to know more.
  6. Some anomalies in their blood, anemia-like. Exposure to daylight yielded some light sunburning and fatigue. No dental elongation. Yet.
  7. Dreamed of blood & death. Was oddly reassuring. I feel now we are not dealing with a curse but a virus, which I feel more suited for.
  8. (@VanHelsingMD) Children are lethargic by day, enlivened at night. No aversion to sacred items. No abnormal behavior.
  9. I have a new appreciation for the phrase "children of the night." Still, these innocents seem in no way malevolent, only sick.
  10. Returning to examine the children after sunset.
  11. Visited hospital again. Children are in good spirits, though lethargic. Showed no signs of being averse to cross or communion wafers.
  12. Children's symptoms are more like @MrsMinaHarker's were than Lucy's. Wounds mostly healed, so have not been exposed to subsequent attacks.
  13. (@VanHelsingMD) Children Lucy preyed on have not been cured as we hoped, but grow worse. I will write when I know more.
  14. Dr. Hennessey woke me this morning. Said he had been trying to reach me for days with a message from Dr. Vincent of the North Hospital.
  15. Home at long last. How strange that I had come to miss the howls of lunatics, and am saddened by one's most noted absence.
  16. Sent a quick telegram to Quincey's cousin Margaret, his only living relative I know of, informing her of his death.
  17. @Elisabeta_Mina While I don't know what the damned smell like, I can tell you lunatics can be rather pungent.
  18. Arrived in Munich. Next train to Paris not for five hours. @JHarkerEsq has gone off touring somewhere.
  19. Spent a few hours in Vienna, but could not appreciate the sights. I find my thoughts turn only to going home and sleeping in my own bed.
  20. Few words have been spoken amongst us over the past two days. What we have experienced can hardly be expressed in speech.
