  1. Writing done for today.
  2. @CricketB Modern term is fiber artist.
  3. Back from emergency run to vet. Dokuritsu has an infection, but he says she's otherwise in remarkable health.
  4. @CricketB Spinster
  5. Ten minutes until vacation.
  6. Comics pulled.
  7. @JaneLebak And to think, once women were required to knit all the clothes for the family, and some knit a sock a day to have some to sell.
  8. Just got handed a sweet project at work. It'll start in January.
  9. It's cold and I don't want to go run errands over lunch, but the library and the P.O. Box await.
  10. @Pyr_Books books from other vendors anyway, making it Borders and Friends only. Sony already fills that space with ePub. Odd move.
  11. @Pyr_Books Should be interesting. "Ebook neutral" will only work if the other vendors play along. If not, the device won't be able to read..
  12. @Pyr_Books Don't they support the Sony?
  13. @DaveMalby I've had machines only usable by touch typists because I wore off the majority of the letters.
  14. @dwightcook That Santa robot from Futurama, definitely.
  15. Sending form letters back and forth on my blog today http://kehinde.com/blog/?p=1062
  16. Having a latke. Yes, it's true, the Maccabees lit those in place of candles--and yes, one would burn at least 8 days. They're dripping.
  17. @JaneLebak Um, isn't a novel about 100,000 words? That many stitches would get you an aircraft carrier cozy.
  18. @JaneLebak I like the differences, probably from experience. I can knit a hat by Monday, no problem. Novels still scare me.
  19. @CricketB I'm fairly monogamous, because it's easier to keep track that way. I still get nasty bouts of startitis (and finishitis oddly)
  20. @JaneLebak I had that feeling. I think I need to take that approach to writing--one stitch at a time, one word at a time.
