  7. Further conversations are still to come and it something could change, but that's the situation as of this minute. @worldofgenesis
  8. Sorry Genesis fans. Just talked with Steve Hackett. Currently Gabriel and Collins don't want to perform at the Hall of Fame. @worldofgenesis
  9. @tokafi Also, remember, Steven named his "Fear of a Blank Planet" as an homage to Public Enemy's "Fear of a Black Planet." :-)
  10. @tokafi Early no-man material (with Steven Wilson) that got them a deal with One Little Indian was based on De La Soul & Tribe Called Quest
  11. @tokafi BTW Steven Wilson might not have a big career w/o hip-hop.

  13. @tokafi And a lot of Public Enemy's fundamental transformation influence is owed to this man: @shocklee
  14. @tokafi Public Enemy fundamentally transformed the fabric of popular music culture.
  15. @tokafi I think Public Enemy has been exponentially more influential as a musical force than Yes.
  16. @tokafi I actually think Public Enemy was more progressive than any prog-rock act in history.
  17. @tokafi A very interesting Bay Area group called Zion-I has made very interesting use of Mike Oldfield and Jean-Michel Jarre samples. :-)
  18. Last two interviews of the year coming up Thurs. and Friday: Steve Hackett and Ray Shulman of Gentle Giant.
  19. Someone just asked me how it's possible for me to be equally devoted to hip-hop and prog-rock. :-) The answer is simple: IT'S ALL MUSIC.
  20. I guess we have to wait for all these old music biz geezers to die before the music "industry" moves on to really reinvent itself.
