  1. @JaneTTL I think it's more for creating a new theme than editing one, but I've heard good things about http://www.artisteer.com/
  2. WIN a Brand New Kindle DX PLUS a Huge Link Building Blast to Your Website of Choice! Go Now –> http://bit.ly/BVhJQ
  3. @partypooper101 So far, you're not allowed to post ads on a WordPress.com blog: http://tr.im/t8sz You CAN have ads on self-hosted WP blogs.
  4. @JoJo_D_MoJo Things can be a little more complex with WordPress, but you can also do more, so it's a choice between easier or more flexible.
  5. @jhgagle At the top of my WP plugins list: WP-DB-Backup; HeadSpace 2; Subscribe to Comments; Akismet; Sitemap Generator.
  6. @CoraLlamas Depends on specific needs. For a business, WordPress, no question--it allows the flexibility and complete ownership needed.
  7. @WPChick Hola, fellow WordPress girl. :) I'm turning down work so I might send some folks your way.
  8. @dennarr & @patamo I like http://mywesthost.com for WordPress hosting. Not the absolute cheapest, but very helpful and reliable.
  9. @JoJo_D_MoJo Depends. Are you wanting features that Tumblr doesn't have?
  10. @conleysarah What's your WordPress question? I'll give it a shot. :)
  11. @framesforever Most blogging tools are pretty good these days, but I like WordPress best--it's easy AND powerful. My site has some WP vids.
  12. @HughCollier The built-in WordPress export backs up your content (basically posts, pages & comments); phpMyAdmin gets ALL your settings.
  13. @bccarlso I don't know EE, but I know WordPress pretty well. What does the expression do? I might be able to recommend an equivalent.
  14. @garethesn It's looking for your blog host's FTP information. Most hosts email the details to you when you sign up. Does that help?
  15. @pbarbanes Glad to RT; the "which WordPress" question causes no end of confusion! (As an aside, I can't DM you until you follow me. :) )
  16. @pbarbanes I'm a WP enthusiast. :) Gave up custom client work to be a full-time mom but like to help folks via Twitter and how-to videos.
  17. RT @pbarbanes: Blogging or Wordpress beginner? Read "Wordpress vs. Wordpress" Free-hosting vs. self-hosting your blog http://bit.ly/15vD1Q
  18. @dimensionmedia Don't know the answer right off the top but I'd read up on the enqueue() function--see if there's a filter for it.
  19. @alannanoelle My pleasure. :) Happy to offer any help I can, so don't hesitate to ask if you have any more WordPress questions!
  20. @alannanoelle To use the theme, you have to set up WordPress elsewhere. It's not hard (see the vids on my site) but not totally free either.
