  1. To apply Newton's Laws of Motion, Fifth Grade science classes are creating roller coasters. Students will test their creations Tuesday.
  2. Come celebrate 20 years of Education Excellence at the THRS Anniversary Party from 1-3:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25.
  3. Joins us for our Spring Open House Thursday, January 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 6-8 p.m.
  4. Fifth Grade completed a Learning Without Walls project with other Nobel Schools on Water Conservation. 6th and 7th grade will begin soon.
  5. Ms. Juloori's Class read original animal poems at Assembly this morning. Kindergarten has been studying animals that live in cold climates.
  6. Fourth Grade used Microsoft Excel to collect data and create pie graphs about favorite kinds of pizza. See examples outside the computer lab
  7. K-8 students were treated to a presentation on Antarctica by Glenda Dodge. Topics included: climate, history, and wildlife.

  9. Fifth Grade took a Discovery Through Art at MFAH Thursday. After the tour with a teaching artist, students created their own work of art.
  10. A musical intermission will be provided by Middle School Guitar students at tonight's drama performances. Plays begin at 6 p.m.
  11. Middle School Drama Students will present Beauty Is a Beast and Twelve Angry Pigs at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10 in the Dining Hall.
  12. Second Grade continues Saxon Math learning about factions and mixed numbers as well as addition and subtraction of three digit numbers.
  13. While learning vocabulary to describe city streets, fourth grade Spanish classes created detailed models to illustrate the new words.
  14. Middle School finishes up finals today. Thursday K-8 has early dismissal for holiday break. See you back Jan. 4, 2011
