  7. The Acacia Pinot was also a great find; it had a velvety texture and created a warm sensation. It would be a very good holiday wine.
  8. Local Baltimoreans, you can buy the top rated Chard (Fess Parker) at Wells Liquors on York Road.
  9. The Callaway Chard also retailed at $28, which was higher than our $15 - 20 / 750mL target price point.
  10. Besides the Beaujolais, I liked the Callaway Chard, 2005, also from CA. I didn't get all the info, but I think it was a reserve.
  11. Then again, I'm not surprised that a group of American women rated the CA wines higher than the French wines. They fit our palates better.
  12. Top wines tasted tonight (as determined by the group): Acacia Pinot Noir, 2008 (CA) and Fess Parker Chardonnay, 2008 (also from CA).
  13. Of all that French & American Pinot Noir & Chardonnay, I liked the Beaujolais Nouveau the best. Ha!
  14. @BaltimoreGal Green beans and Brussels sprouts are not common enough in my home for me to know if my dog likes them or not. :-)
  15. Going to the Swirlistas "Bottle Shock" event tonight. French Pinot Noir & Chard go up against American Pinot & Chard. We'll see who wins.
