  1. RT @selfamusing: I just checked my 2009 new year's resolutions. I have 54.5 hours to lose 13 pounds and write a novel. #fail #NYE
  2. Too many WIPs, too few brain cells tonight.
  3. Don't quit your day job is a close second though. @wilw
  4. RT @wilw: The single most insulting thing you can tell a creative person is, upon viewing their creation, "you have too much free time."
  5. I give up. The short story I've been trying to cram into 6,000 words is actually a novel, just like everything else.
  6. Rewriting the end of my WIP after some good feedback from my husband. I like mellow Christmases; they give me time to work on fun stuff.
  7. RT @cassieclare: Interesting 'advice for first-time authors' article on the AV Club: http://bit.ly/4IuYVE
  8. Why SW: Episode I is so bad. RT @WritersDigest: Great Storytelling 101 (or: We've Forgotten How to Tell Stories) http://ow.ly/16cr0d
  9. @jenbluekissed I need to comb through mine for filters again. Sigh.
  10. Been on the computer for three hours and still haven't even opened my novel.
  11. @jenbluekissed Try just one type of revision at a time so you're not reading for all changes at once. Read that advice somewhere.
  12. I love the first part of revising, where I feel like I know what to do. Now to do it.
  13. Nothing better than chili on a cold night.
  14. @jenbluekissed Good for you!
  15. Yay for helpful husbands with constructive writing critiques! I'm so lucky :)
  16. Yay! I don't totally suck as a beta reader.
  17. Just beta'd for someone else. It's a good feeling, helping out. Unless I destroyed her will to live. That would be bad.
  18. First draft out to betas. Now to chew on my knuckles until they tell me it sucks.
  19. It's never worked before to write while drinking, why would it work now?
  20. Because I do what @maureenjohnson tells me to. #P4A
